Astrup Fearnley AS, founded in 1869 is, a large, respected brokerage firm, comprising separate specialized departments which cover all shipping markets, chartering as well as sale & purchase of ships of all sizes and designs.
"With departments in Hong Kong, Malaysia, USA, Poland, Russia and Norway, we are a truly international firm distributed over many of the world's time-zones. This demands a 24/7 architecture, and the ICT infrastructure, run centrally in Norway via Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server, has to provide a stable desktop environment and reliable access to stored company data at all times.
I am the manager of the Change Office Team, an ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) based department handling all changes in the software and hardware configuration of the ICT infrastructure at the company. Among other things, our department repackages, documents and tests applications for use in our live environment.
I have repackaged applications for several large corporations, and have used several products for this task, for instance: SMS Installer, Wise, Wise for Windows Installer and Citrix Packager.
What I have always searched for, is a program made by people who know the challenges involved in packaging applications for distribution in a corporate environment, but until I by accident came across MaSaI, I had never found a truly satisfying product.
The impressive thing about MaSaI, apart from the price of course, is how intuitive it is. It has all the things a software repackager needs to quickly repackage installations, without unnecessary features to slow him down. The intuitiveness makes it easy to train new staff, and experienced software packagers use hardly any time at all to get into it.
MaSaI Installer has saved us time and grey hairs, by cutting the repackaging time considerably, in conjunction with VmWare.
MaSaI Installer has helped us to increase our level of service, and provide a reliable software repackaging environment, making changes to our ICT infrastructure safer, and reducing our system downtime, which, in this business, is money in the bank."
