Enterprise Security Reporter Problems-and-Solutions

Problem- An administrator wanted to find out security information about their network environment. In particular, he wanted to find out if certain users and groups had access and what this access was across all of their servers.

Solution- The administrator used Enterprise Security Reporter to discover all of the security on files, folders, file shares, groups and user information across all of their servers. This enabled them to run customizable reports showing the access that users and groups had and to create group membership reports.

Problem - An administrator wanted to find a simple reporting solution without having to know anything about writing reports or database management.

Solution- They decided on Enterprise Security Reporter because it provided several reports out of the box and did not require them to have to create reports. ESR included all of the reports they needed plus easy to use report builders. The report builders allowed them to specify the criteria they were interested in and the software created the reports for them.
