Is-it possible to proceed remote migrations ? IDEAL Migration manages, starting from an administration station, all servers/domains declared on your network. It's thus not necessary to install IDEAL Migration on servers to be migrated.
Does anyone have to interrupt server operations to proceed to migration ? The data transfer doesn't require a full stop or interrupt of servers. Those continue to be operationnal during the migration phase.
Can users passwords be preserved ? IDEAL Migration makes it possible to preserve users passwords while you transfer them from and to any Windows NT / 2000 systems.
Is it possible to run English release of IDEAL Migration on systems using another language ? You can install IDEAL Migration on any Windows NT or Windows 2000 system, and this whatever language used on your operating system.
Is it necessary that servers/domains are connected to carry out the data transfer ? IDEAL Migration manages Off-line migrations : not approved domains, disconnected or interrupted servers. The migration is run into two distinct phases : data exportation from source computers/domains, importation on destination computers/domains.
Does IDEAL Migration make it possible to record into a database the differents objects contained on servers/domains ? IDEAL Migration exports data (computers, groups, users, shares) in a CSV file format. Those files can be easily converted into a database. Computers/domains number which can be treated during exportation is not limited.
Is it possible to select objects to transfer ? IDEAL Migration allows you to select objects to be exported. This selection can be done of several ways : by using right mouse button click on objects inside the MMC, by using a manual selection of objects on the different computers/domains.
