Does Print Manager Plus use Port Monitors or change anything in Windows when installed? No Print Manager Plus does not use any type of Port Monitor. It does not change or replace anything in Windows. It has received logo approval for Microsoft Backoffice and Windows XP.
What Operating System is Supported ? Print Manager Plus can be installed on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server or Workstation. Print Manager Plus is designed to manage printing in a Microsoft Windows clientserver network. It assumes that print jobs from client workstations are spooled to a Windows server acting as a print server, and not forwarded directly from the client workstation to a network-connected printer, or to a shared printer connected to a workstation. Printers connected to a Windows NT/2000/XP workstation can be successfully managed ? see Workstation-Connected Printers in the PMP manual on page 30.

Will Print Manager Plus slow printing? There is no noticeable slowing of print jobs.
What printers are supported? Print Manager Plus handles many print languages. We are always working on new print languages that are released by printer manufactures. New print languages can be updated using the E-Update function on the Print Manager Plus admin console. PMP supports page and copy counts from any application. PMP supports inch counts from HPGL2 large format printers.
What Operating Systems can Print Manager Plus track or restrict? It will track pages being printed from Windows 2003/2000/NT 4.0, 3.51, Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 98, Windows 95, Windows 3.1, DOS, Macintosh, UNIX (all flavors), Linux, and OS/2 clients.
Can Print Manager Plus support multiple currencies? Yes, PMP uses the currency being used by Windows.
How is Print Manager Plus licensed? The product is licensed per a print server. Supports unlimited users/groups on the domain or multiple domains. Supports unlimited printers on the print server.
Can Print Manager Plus support multiple print servers? Yes, Print Manager Plus can support hundreds of Print Servers. When using Microsoft Sequel Server you can point your print servers to use one database. This then allows full Tracking, Restrictions, and Reporting control from one or more Administrators using the PMP Admin Console.
Does Print Manager Plus support multiple domains? Yes, Print Manager Plus supports multiple domains. You can track and restrict users and groups from other domains.
What database does Print Manager Plus support? The product when installed defaults to Microsoft Access database. It can be easily changed to run on SQL 7.0, 2000, or MSDE by using our Print Manager Plus SQL script.
Can Print Manager Plus support printers attached to workstations. Yes Print Manager Plus can handle workstation connected printers. See page 30 of the PMP Manual on how to set this up
Does the Print Manager Plus software require anything be installed or running on the clients? Print manager plus does not require that anything be installed on the clients. You have to install the services and the admin program on the print server. In addition you can install the admin program on a client to administer the server. We also provides a free End User Inquiry Tool application and web based ASP script for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP/2003, Unix/Macintosh. If using Print Manager Plus with Client Billing there is a workstation module that needs to be installed on each workstation you want to track/bill client printing from.
Does Print Manager Plus run on Windows 2003 Server? Yes, Print Manager Plus 4.0 and 5.0 can run on Windows 2003 server.
