IDC Reports Print Manager Plus as Only Print Management Software in the Industry Meeting Microsoft's Standards
The most recent IDC research about printer and print management technologies worldwide report Print Manager Plus as the only print management software solution meeting Microsoft standards.
IDC said in its most recent research study, U.S. Document Accounting Systems 2005-2009 Forecast and Analysis: Optimizing the Hardcopy Environment - Feb 2005:
Print Manager Plus is the only print auditing tool in the industry that is Windows logo certified and verified/certified by Microsoft's Veritest requirements.
Most other applications rely on changing ports within Windows, which Microsoft will not certify, and any server running them will lose MS support.
Print Manager Plus can also run on server cluster configurations and is the only Microsoft Cluster compatible print auditing tool in the industry.
The research article goes on to explain the low license price of Print Manager Plus, its ease of use and the array of functionality that has made it the solution of choice for over 10,000 customers worldwide. Schools are reporting savings up to 75% of their cost of printing by using Print Manager Plus
A major international bank and one of HP's largest European customers is using it on its 1,000 print servers to enable departmental bill-back, better financial control and savings of TCO with Print Manager Plus supporting over 135,000 bank users and thousands of printers.
It is noteworthy that it supports the bank's fleet of HP printers (over 90 percent HP) as easily the ten percent of the fleet made up of various other printer brands.
